Merchandise Coordinator Job Description
The Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for placing orders, maintaining inventory of stock and sales. Other primary responsibilities also include merchandise presentation at events, merchandise sales and appropriate staffing for events.
Duties as a Merchandise Coordinator include:
· Researching for cost effective merchandise items
· Negotiating and communicating with merchants and vendors
· Placing orders and when necessary plan ahead to restock items.
· Maintaining inventory of stock and sales
· Staging of merchandise to promote sales and attract customers at events
· Providing quality customer service
· Working with other committees and assume administrative tasks to fulfill duties
· Attend meetings on a regular basis
